Pankwan

Pankwan is her given name, but she prefers to go by her nickname, which is Pang. Pang is from Thailand, the land of smiles. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, with a major in Tourism. Pang has spent the last 17 years as a tour guide and she loves it. Pang is proud to show her country to adventurers. She is not just a tour guide, but also a host, a teacher, and a friend. Making friends and exchanging languages, cultures, and travel experiences is one of her favorite things about being a trip guide!

What’s your favorite vacation destination(s)?

My favorite countries, which both have interesting cultures and wonderful history, are India and Nepal. 

What is your favorite historical site, castle, museum, etc.?

The Rattanakosin area in Bangkok.

What is your favorite hike?

Khao Yai National Park. 

What is your favorite bike ride?

Sukhothai Historical Park.

What is your favorite Austin Adventures trip?

Any of the amazing Thailand Trips!

When did you first catch the travel bug?

When I was 17 and began to plan adventures. 

What are your favorite outdoor activities?

I enjoy walking in the beautiful parks and wandering through the local markets. 

What are your hobbies?

Reading books is my favorite activity.
