We'll depart Bryce this morning and head out for a short hike on the Birdseye Trail for another chance to get up close to the unique hoodoo formations in this region. After our morning hike, we’ll drive to Zion National Park, winding through the magnificent canyon walls and towering cliffs that make up this majestic park.
After lunch, we’ll make our way into Zion Canyon for one of the park’s most legendary hikes: Scout Lookout. Climbing steadily up the famous West Rim Trail, we’ll wind through dramatic sandstone cliffs and tackle Zion’s iconic Walter’s Wiggles, a series of thrilling switchbacks carved into the canyon wall. The reward is Scout Lookout, an awe-inspiring perch high above Zion Canyon with panoramic views of towering red rock walls, the Virgin River below, and the breathtaking landscape stretching in every direction.
Scout Lookout also serves as the gateway to Angels Landing, one of the most famous hikes in the national parks system. Guests with permits may choose to continue along the narrow ridge to Angels Landing, while others can relax at Scout Lookout and soak in the unforgettable scenery.
This evening, enjoy a night on your own in the lively town of Springdale, where you can choose from a variety of local restaurants, galleries, and cafes just outside the park entrance.
