We’ll say goodbye to Bryce this morning and head out for a short hike on the Birdseye Trail, giving everyone one more chance to explore the area’s unique hoodoo formations up close. After our morning hike, we’ll make our way to Zion National Park, where towering canyon walls, red rock cliffs, and winding roads set the scene for the next part of our adventure.
After lunch, we’ll make our way into Zion Canyon for one of the park’s most memorable hikes: Scout Lookout. Following the famous West Rim Trail, we’ll climb steadily through dramatic sandstone scenery and take on Walter’s Wiggles, a series of switchbacks carved into the canyon wall. It’s a fun challenge with a big reward at the top. At Scout Lookout, take in sweeping views over Zion Canyon as a family, with red rock walls all around and the Virgin River below. It’s the perfect place to pause, take photos, enjoy the view, and celebrate the climb together.
Scout Lookout also serves as the gateway to Angels Landing, one of the most famous hikes in the national park system. Guests with permits may choose to continue along the narrow ridge to Angels Landing, while others can relax at Scout Lookout and soak up the unforgettable scenery.
This evening, enjoy a night on your own in the lively town of Springdale, where your family can choose from a variety of local restaurants, galleries, and cafés just outside the park entrance.
