Andy an Austin Adventures guide out on the trails

Meet Austin Adventures Guide, Andy

Andy grew up in the fresh country air of Wisconsin, exploring the woods around his family farm and learning early how much there is to discover outside. In college, he fell in love with canoeing the Boundary Waters and sharing that experience with youth from Minneapolis who might not otherwise have had the chance to paddle through those quiet northern lakes.

After college, Andy moved to Washington state, where his love for climbing, alpine landscapes, and mountain days only grew. Since then, he has balanced two callings: working as a registered nurse in the emergency department and helping others experience the wonder, challenge, and calm of the natural world.

Whether he’s caring for people in a hospital or guiding guests on the trail, Andy brings steady hands, a generous spirit, and a deep appreciation for the places that bring us back to ourselves.
