What qualifications do I need to work for Austin Adventures?
We hire talented and dedicated professional local guides in regions around the globe. There are several skills and qualifications needed to showcase your ability to join our team including:
• The ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment • Excellent people skills in the areas of communication, customer care, and compassion • A strong ability to connect one-on-one with people of all ages, interests, and backgrounds • Strong appreciation for, and a sense of, the natural and cultural history of a number of the regions in which we run trips • Passion for active travel and being outdoors • Mental endurance to be able to handle long days of physical work• Detail-oriented and ability to work as part of small team • Strong problem-solving skills• A ‘leader’ personality with emotional maturity • First Aid & CPR-certified (required) (WFR & EMT certification encouraged) • Driver's License and a clean driving record (Required)• Availability during our peak season from June into September
Guide Training
Each region hosts a spring training to help you showcase your skills to our guests. Training is mandatory and the dates will vary.
