This was my first hiking vacation and won't be the last! I chose the active option which included the W-Trek hiking and would recommend it to anyone. I got to experience Patagonia in such a unique way and learned so much through our Guides. Over 14 days we got to see incredible sites across both Chilean and Argentinean Patagonia. Photos don't do it justice-so go see it for yourself. Just know, there's very little downtime or free time across the 2 weeks!

This trip was very busy without a lot of downtime which is how I like my vacations. Everything was extremely well organized and Jessica our trip leader was wonderful. We were blessed with unusually good weather - sunny and minimal wind most days which we hear is very unusual for Patagonia. Jessica chose fabulous restaurants for meals - we ate so much tasty food on this trip.

What a fabulous trip, every bit of it. The scenery was spectacular and the hiking was quite manageable, long hikes but not terribly strenuous. I chose the Comfort option since I did not want to backpack. We hiked every day, sometimes twice a day and saw so many lakes, condors, guanacos. No pumas! It was often cold, rainy and unbelievably windy in Chile but that did not stop our guide from taking us on spectacular hikes and the weather actually added to the ruggedness of the terrain. When we crossed to Argentina, it was warmer but equally great. So many peaks, glaciers, waterfalls to view and walk right by. The variety of activities was a way to engage in ways that brought us closer to these elements.

The 14-day Patagonia Hiking Adventure trip was an experience of a lifetime! I chose the W-Trek Backcountry Hiking option with four nights in Refugios plus an optional glacier hike at Lake Grey ... Torres del Paine is just a spectacular national park! The second week in Los Glaciares National Park around Chalten with day hikes was also phenomenal, and provided great hotel accommodations and excellent restaurants!
All our guides were so professional and knowledgeable.
I cannot recommend this adventure enough!

What an amazing experience filled with breath taking views and unimaginable beauty! Even on the days when the driving snow prevented us from seeing the reward of our day long hike, the experience itself attempted to fill the visual void. This was an adventure I will never forget with guides and fellow hikers that made the trip even more special.

Patagonia is absolutely amazing and Active Adventures planned a stunning trip so that we could move through Chile and Argentina easily and efficiently. This was our first trip with a tour company and we often wondered how long it would have taken us to plan everything and how many hurdles we would have hit if we had not utilized a tour company. We had all the opportunities we could have hoped for to see the highlights of the region as well as many things that we would have missed had Active Adventures not had access. The guides were fantastic and had lots of local knowledge. Jessica, our overall trip guide, was amazing. She was friendly, kind, knowledgeable, kept us all on track, offered solutions to problems, and interpreted the language when we often could not. We loved not having to plan anything...we put our trust in Active Adventures and that allowed us to focus on the scenery, the food, the people, the hiking, and the enjoyment.

What a great adventure in Patagonia! Me and my 2 adult children spent 14 days in Patagonia with wonderful guides! Jessica was absolutely amazing! She took care of every detail, truly cared about us and the region, was fun, knowledgeable!! She made the trip very special for us. Active Adventures you have a gem in Jess! The local guides were great too -- Andrea was a blast and knew all the great places to take us. Her love of the region was evident in her knowledge and enthusiasm. My daughter did the W trek and Chris and Jess took great care of her. It was an experience of a lifetime for her. Loved the small group -- only 5 of us! Loved the attention to detail, the food, the drivers, the accommodations! The shear beauty of the place would have been enough but all the other details took it over the top!!

My headline is a tongue-in-cheek reference to the number of times we said “wow” on this trip, and how often we joked with our fellow travelers that we needed another word. But sometimes “wow” is just the only thing that fits. Ever since I saw a calendar photo of the mountains of Torres del Paine, I knew I needed to go there one day. Although I come from the Pacific Northwest where we have beautiful mountains, we have nothing like the mountains of Patagonia. We never tired of looking at their craggy, dramatic outlines against the sky, with the silhouettes changing as we traversed the various regions. The early days of the trip were spent in and around Torres del Paine, leading off with a truly amazing hike to the French Valley. (We opted for the “comfort” version of the first part of the trip, and while it was still plenty rigorous, it was just right for us.) It was a long day, with a van and ferry ride to and from the start of the hike, but it was totally worth the late arrival back at our accommodations. Andrea, our local guide for this portion of the trip, was wonderful, adjusting her pace to ours, and totally happy to wait as we stopped to admire and take photos of local flora and fauna. She was very knowledgeable about both, and seemed to enjoy seeing them as much as we did! When we rejoined with the “W” trek folks, we experienced the true pleasure of having Jessica as our primary guide. She was fun, funny, incredibly caring, knowledgeable, and professional — one of our favorite guides among our many Active Adventures trips. The second part of our trip in Argentina was also very fun and beautiful. We did have some chilly hiking days, even hiking in a little snow on the Laguna de los Tres hike out of El Chaltén, but we had plenty of layers to adjust to the temps, and our guides were ever patient as we stopped to add or take off layers to adjust to the temps. The food was wonderful everywhere we went, and the accommodations were always pleasant. We will never forgot this wonderful Patagonia trip.
