Recently home from this fantastic adventure, my 3rd with Active. Northern Patagonia is just spectacular in scenery and activity. Wonderful hikes, two kayak days, lots of time spent traveling multi-modal transportation seeing much variety in landscapes. Could not have asked for any better than our wonderful guide, Mayra!!
Lodgings were good and interesting, food always great and plentiful, and to be sure we had good wine in both Argentina and Chile. Fun fun group, lots of laughter!

Stunning scenery, great food and a fun group of people. The trip was a nice mix of activities and broke up the longer hiking days. Our guide Mayra was awesome and made the trip even more special.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Northern Patagonia trip. Endless beauty, perfect mix of hiking and kayaking, unique accommodations, fascinating flora and fauna, lovely lakes, plus yummy wine to sip at the end of the day! Everything lived up to the Active Adventure experience we have always enjoyed. Terrific trip...Highly recommend.

I wanted trees, high mountain lakes, undulating trails, waterfalls, kayaking and I got it all! I forgot to mention good food and wine. In January, the days are long and the stars and moon were beautiful. This trip needs to be promoted more with better pictures! I think some people are afraid of Patagonia because all they hear about is the W trek. Our guide, Mayra, was amazing and adapted to our every need.

Another AA trip. Another great adventure. After already having been to southern patagonia, I wanted to experience northern patagonia and see the difference between the two. Both are beautiful in their own way with the south having more towering big peaks and the north having so much water and volcanoes. As is always expected with AA, the trip leaders are awesome and fun to spend time with. I would highly recommend either adventure.

informational wiz of the environment we traveled to and had complete control of our itinerary. All guides and drivers were very professional and knowledgeable.

After an amazing, but sometimes chilly, experience in south Patagonia, we welcomed the warmer weather and unique beauty of the north Patagonia trip. Mayra, our guide, was warm, knowledgeable, and caring. (My husband and I were in the unusual position of being the only guests on the trip, so we felt especially lucky.) The hikes were beautiful and just the right length and steepness, and they brought beautiful views of lakes and volcanos. The local guides brought interesting knowledge and perspective. We especially enjoyed the Cerro Colorado hike, as the weather was warm enough for short sleeves and the views were endless. And the flora and waterfalls on the Huilo Huilo hike were especially beautiful! The food was delicious everywhere, and the Bariloche chocolates were a special treat! Our only negative experience related to the kayaking. It was a colder day, the wind kicked up a bit, and I hadn’t dressed warmly enough. But that small blip didn’t lessen our overall enjoyment of the North Patagonia Adventure. It was a really fun, somewhat less intense, follow up to the Patagonia Hiking Adventure, and we would love to travel with Mayra as our guide in the future.

This trip provided a nice overview of the lake district in Chile and Argentina. We enjoyed hiking through unique forests and seeing wildlife and native plants.
